I am an unintentionally untethered woman, I guess. I am burned out on bullshit in both my work and personal life, so the walking slowly and not being a placating people pleaser (as much) has been happening naturally as a result of being burnt the f*ck out. My face is a blank page to others, but inside I feel a mixture of horror, amusement, and fascination in varying degrees about this current state of being. I haven't gotten fired yet, so the horror is a smaller sliver lately.
I just started wrapping up conversations - as a habit, maybe a decade ago.
A sensitive “I’ll let you get back to _____” was my beginner phrase.
At first there was some guilt - that societal turd we carry around, but honestly I realized very fast that people DO respect you for having some sort of direction.
Thanks - I enjoyed the cliff’s notes approach - very clean and clear.
Martial arts training when approached in a humble way can help with at least some of these particularly those related to movement and space but also about time and listening - thank you for the reminder
